COMTek WINS CONTRACT WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
(USDA)
Communication
Technologies, Inc. (COMTek) wins contract with U.S. Department
of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development, Operations and Maintenance,
St. Louis, MO for Information Technology Services (IT). The five
(5) year contract with USDA is valued at near $6,000,000.
The mission of the USDA Rural Development office is to provide
rural economic and community development through their various
programs in cooperation with the Rural Housing Service (RHS), the
Rural Business Cooperative Service (RBS), and the Rural Utilities
Service (RUS). Rural Development’s National Office is located
in Washington, DC, with additional operations in St. Louis.
COMTek will be providing to Rural Development, as a part of this
contract, on-site IT support services to four sites in the St.
Louis area and approximately 1600 USDA employees. These IT services
will include LAN administration, systems administration, hardware
and software troubleshooting support and other tasks as assigned.
