Communication Technologies, Inc.
Empowers NAVAIR
By Building Superior Flight Simulator
for Mission-Critical Pilot Training
|
Chantilly, Virginia, Communication Technologies,
Inc. (COMTek), a national leader in delivering trusted information
technology and telecommunications services for mission-critical
environments, was selected by the Naval Air Systems Command to
build the next C-9B flight simulator and provide flight simulation
training and maintenance for the NAVAIR Orlando Training Systems
Division. This contract solidifies COMTek’s strategic leadership
position in the flight simulation training and support industry.
The C-9B simulator will feature a motion system that simulates
what a pilot would see, feel, hear and experience in the cockpit
of a C-9B aircraft. This simulator is the military version of the
commercial DC-9 series aircraft manufactured by the McDonnell Douglas
Corporation. With this technology, NAVAIR can simulate the flight
experience while providing a cost-effective means by which to train
its pilots.
Joseph E. Fergus, President and CEO of COMTek stated: “Our
military requires superior training and best-in-class technology
to support its objectives. We are pleased that NAVAIR selected
COMTek to support this highly important mission.”
