The Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA) is an extension of the United States Postal Service that provides mail services to the U.S. Department of Defense personnel, their family members and other authorized users around the world. MPSA customers receive basically the same level of service as though they were at home in the United States. COMTek developed the Automated Military Postal System (AMPS) software to efficiently move MPS mail, via commercial and military aircraft and commercial sealift vessels, to nearly two thousand military post offices and located in over 85 countries to include Navy and Coast Guard ships.

COMTek has been the sole developer/enhancer/maintenance provider of AMPS since its inception in 2000. COMTek’s developers and analysts have worked hand-in-hand with MPSA personnel not only to develop the software, but to determine the requirements to support our military in the vital process of global movement of the mail.

Through a single Web based system, AMPS tracks financial information, automates processes, manages postal supplies and equipment, monitors and tracks mail, and delivers postal alerts. In addition to reducing man hours and streamlining procedures, AMPS has saved millions of dollars.
